Hay fever can worsen asthma symptoms & can trigger an asthma flare up, even in those with otherwise well-controlled asthma. If your patient has symptoms of asthma or hay fever (e.g. cough, wheeze or sneeze in the pollen season) they may be susceptible to thunderstorm asthma.
If this is the case, undertake an asthma & allergy diagnosis, develop an asthma &/or hay fever action plan & ensure your patient has the right medication.

Has all your Zostavax vaccine been transferred to the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR)?
Following a review of the number of Zostavax doses reported to the register across the state it appears that not all doses of Zostavax given by providers has transferred from practice software to the AIR. To date, whilst SA Health has distributed 75,977 doses of Zostavax, only 37,070 doses have been reported to AIR.
As a result, practices are bring asked to undertake an audit in order to identify patients who have received Zostavax vaccine (within your practice software) & cross check to see if the data has been transmitted to the AIR. An audit tool is avaialble here to assist.
If your practice is utilising the My Health Record you are required to have policies in place to support the management & access of the My Health Record system.
