The Australian Commission on Safety & Quality in Health Care has developed a series of patient decision aids to support shared decision making & the provision of patient- centred care in GP settings.
Decision aids on antibiotic use for sore throat, acute bronchitis, & middle ear infection in children are now available.

Calm Kid Central - free access

Do you have a family visit your practice that could benefit from assistance when dealing with ‘tricky kids’ struggling with worry, frustration and managing life situations? Adelaide PHN has recently funded Calm Kid Central to provide free access for one year to 350 families in the Adelaide metro area. Calm Kid Central is an online service where parents can ask unlimited questions of child psychologists and access practical resources. NDIS for GPs Factsheet

As the NDIS continues rolling out, health professionals are enouraged to help raise awareness about the scheme. A range of  resources are available to assist including a summary of the SA rollout, and a factsheet for GPs and other health professionals. Join the Interdisciplinary Health Practitioner Network

Adelaide PHN is proud to partner with the Interdisciplinary Health Practitioner Network (IHPN), a pilot project developed by MHPN and AHPA, to establish practitioner networks, each with a focus on multimorbidity. The network will meet up to four times a year to support local practitioners from different disciplines to collaborate and network, helping to develop relationships, increase understanding of each other’s expertise, improve referral pathways and, ultimately, patient outcomes. The first Adelaide Interdisciplinary Health Practitioner Network will meet on Wednesday 22nd March from 6.00pm – 8.00pm. SA HIV Prevention Study to commence in April

Alfred Health’s highly successful PrEPX study will be expanded into SA thanks to a new partnership with SAHMRI & SA Health.The study will examine the impact of expanding the use of PrEP across SA.
