Incentive payments for vaccines notified to the Australian Immunisation Register for the SA Meningococcal B Immunisation Program

A new funding incentive from SA Health will support eligible general practices to deliver Bexsero vaccines as part of the South Australian Meningococcal B (MenB) Childhood Catch-up Program.

Following the July announcement of Australia’s first funded MenB immunisation program in South Australia, this incentive will support the provision of the MenB childhood catch-up program for children aged 12 months to less than 4 years as at 1 October 2018.

Through administrative support from Adelaide Primary Health Network (PHN) and Country SA PHN, the incentive payment of $1.60 (excl GST) per vaccination notified to the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) during the period 1 October 2018 to 31 December 2019 will be provided to eligible general practices.

General practices should have completed the SA Health Eligibility Assessment for State Funded vaccines: Meningococcal B vaccine to be eligible to receive funded Bexsero vaccine to demonstrate adequate vaccine storage, monitoring and cold chain management processes. The SA Health Immunisation Section will assess this by providers completing an online survey. If you are an immunisation provider in South Australia and have not received an email providing the link to the survey, contact the Vaccine Distribution Centre on 08 742 57139.

Register your practice today:
  • All eligible general practices in SA are able to register
  • Registration is open until 31 Oct 2018; late registrations may be considered
  • Adelaide metropolitan practices must register via the Adelaide PHN Vendor Form
  • Practices outside of metropolitan region should contact Country SA PHN
