HealthPathways is a free online portal for GPs, practice nurses & other health professionals. Designed to be used at the point of care, HealthPathways provides easy access to comprehensive clinical information, local referral pathways, and patient resources.
The RACGP has a professional development program on family abuse and violence to help GPs know how to respond when they suspect violence.
This program is accredited for QI&CPD Points. GPs can register for the program via RACGP gplearning.
The Australian College of Rural & Remote Medicine (ACRRM) has introduced a new online learning module. This module has been developed to upskill GPs in Q fever prevention & the diagnosis & management of acute infections.
Patients aged 2 – 17 may be eligible to access $1,000 worth of Medicare support for general dental treatment including examinations, cleaning and fillings.
More than 40 per cent of Australian children aged 5–10 years experience tooth decay in their
primary teeth; in turn, this can lead to oral health problems in adulthood.

To ensure your healthcare organisation can view its patients’ My Health Record, you need to register to participate in Australia’s My Health Record system. Once your organisation is registered, individual healthcare providers & other relevant employees can be authorised to access the My Health Record system on the organisation’s behalf.

Older adults were most affected by the 2017 influenza season; 304 aged care residents died due to confirmed cases of influenza or its complications.
Fluzone® High-Dose will be made available on the National Immunisation Program (NIP) ahead of the 2018 influenza season. The vaccine is designed to protect against three influenza strains (i.e. trivalent) that are likely to circulate in the coming influenza season.
The vaccine contains four times the amount of antigen, or active ingredient, for each of the three strains in the vaccine, compared with regular influenza vaccines.
Research shows that whilst most men want to have children, they have limited knowledge about fertility & the factors that affect it.
Andrology Australia plans to develop resources to help GPs start conversations with men about fertility & reproductive life planning. The following survey will guide resource development and will take no longer than 10 minutes to complete. Complete survey here
Quality Practice Accreditation is inviting all general practices to complete a short survey designed to identify and quantify the benefits of accreditation, and inform development of government policy in regard to accreditation and funding of general practice for quality improvement activities.

RACGP & the ANEDGP grant is available for a period of one year to provide GP-researchers with an opportunity to conduct research that advances the profession of general practice. Funding of up to $20,000 is available.
